SNPs in disease One of the latest generation of markers The SNP''s will develop as the most amazing set of markers and ultimately will be used in a variety of genetic dissection studies that will pave way for the future of genetic medicine and ultimately will enable us to solve the dialemma of common complex disorders. this is not something that can happen overnight but will take some considerable time not only because the field is new but also because of the oneriuosity of the task. what appears is that the initial findings (a lot of studies are already published) i.e. basic understanding of these marker disease association and complex interactions will begin somewhere close to 1-5 years. |
