adding on to the last topic, are we heading toward becoming 1 people, with 1 culture across the globe. I see that some countries are rejecting the EU constitution, but isn't part of the aim of the EU to merge the different countries/ cultures to make "life" easier in Europe???? and the way a lot of countries are adopting/ having to adopt the American ways of doing business so they can do business, change is happening.

One world odor?

It stinks.

The only viable global government would have to
be one patterned after to the United States of America.

WE are the light on the hill. And I think we always
will be. The only other country that comes close
is Isreal.

We stand for justice. And that sets us apart from
the rest.

A man came 2000 years ago who stood for justice.
And this country has been inspired by him.

Unfortunately, the European identity was not promoted to the degree of crystallization and voting for a common constitution was premature. As long as the French (for example) still feel being more French the European they would never give up their national privileges to share with another fellow EU citizen.
The USA is a precedent phenomena of a united continent, and Europe is a good runner up.
It is not clear if Africa is more probable to follow or Asia, but the future is in the United Continents first to precede the United Earth.
