It was exciting to see on the news this evening that scientists went to a remote part of Papua New Guinea never explored before by humans. The animals did not know humans so they could walk up to them and pick them up and make measurements and then let them go. No fear of man...they are lucky because I fear mankind...don't you?

There was never a time when I did not know about war or the atomic bomb, or the nuclear bomb, or the Holocaust, or the countless stupid things that mankind does throughout history. It is sad, but on the brighter side we do some things well also. I am typing away on my laptop computer that uses electricity while the light allows me to see and the ceiling radiates heat. The refrigerator hums, and the clock on the wall keeps accurate time. I am full from eating a frozen dinner, an apple, and a glass of water sits beside me as I recline in an overstuffed easy chair. My three hour commute to work and back today was not really all that bad, and I wondered with awe when I drove by the 50 plus story tall skyscrapers. So there are many good things to make up for the bad.

The reason I was thinking about the new area on the Earth that has never been explored and where many new species of plants and animals have been found (in the 21st Century!) it occurred to me that there are little aliens in our backyard. Consider the possibility that there are real aliens in our interstellar backyard?

I think we are not alone in our own solar system, much less the cosmos. I am not talking about little one cell organisms, I am talking intelligent life. How is that possible you might say, wouldn't we have intercepted their communications, there energy emissions, their radio, TV, etc.? Don't be so sure of that for many reasons. First of all we don't look within our own solar system for those kinds of things because it just seems too far fetched! Aliens are supposed to be hundreds, if not thousands of light years away over there somewhere. It would make a lot of since if they were here within our solar system. It would explain the many similar sightings over the past 50 years.

Perhaps they knew about us first and are hiding their civilization from us. Many reasons for that are possible. They fear us, they don't want to interfere with our cultures, they are examining us. They don't care, but their idea of technology is so different or so far above ours that we could not detect it. They don't hide their signature but we are too stupid to pick it up. They live under the seas of other Moons such as Titan and Europa and use different communications like dolphins use sonar. They live on a planet like Venus that we assumed was too hot, or a planet like Pluto that we thought was too cold. Regardless, wonder if there is another alien civilization within our solar system, maybe more than one?

Before you say no it couldn't be...just think about Papua New Guinea, then consider that we have explored less than 1% of the oceans. How can we say there is no intelligent life within our solar system then? We don't even know our own planet very well.
