Hi everyone

Since we are at the topic of discussing future and books... how about talking about Science fiction books...

With the universe so wide... in the feild of Sci-Fi nothing is impossible yet if one sits down questioning about the theories in a science fiction they sometimes seem so possible.

I can go on ... but would like to know what you people think??

As a person who loves sci-fi books I like to look at what each author see's as the future. and like others even in my lifetime so far I see things from books/ movies that are starting to appear in everyday life so i think this type of book/ film is interesting for that alone.

My fav sci fiction Author is Issac Asimov... I totally love his foundation series and adore the character of Arcadia in "The Second Foundation"... Thats where my name comes from.

I also want to read "The left hand of Datkness"... Has anyone read it??
It seems to have a very interesting storyline.

I read the Left Hand of Darkness for a sci fi lit class in college. Got to speak with the author who my professor knew. It was quite an interesting book. I would say it was well written. Another book to take on in the sci fi arena is Neuromancer. Great story! Can't say much more. I really liked one other book, but sadly I forget it's title at the moment. I'm sure I'll think of it and let you all know.

Personally I'm a big Star Wars fan because the Saga continues. I'm sure not all the writers are the greatest, and sometimes you find yourself remembering other stories that don't fit in necessarily with a couple of others but hey Lucas's (movies 4, 5, 6) don't always agree with each other, yet each story in it's own right is good on it's own. My favorite so far has been the one with the Force Witches of Dathomir because the character development was so good. I applaud the writer.

Ah yes, it took some looking but I found the book. A Canticle for Liebowitz.

These three are a must read for sci fi lovers.
