The dominant hemisphere of the human brain is usually the left. The processes that coordinate right and left-brains are neurological. But it will be discovered that the less dominate hemisphere can compete for dominance via social protocols. In other words hemispherical competition and conflict are resolved through self-reflection and persona role playing, albeit that many times such process may be non-verbal within the mind. This makes sense since the less dominate hemisphere is usually incapable of language processing.
That devil's advocate in your head, or that gut feeling, or even that feeling of being watched is really your better half!
