I think the time is near when we will have to cut back on our research on AI and STOP researching! That will be because the development in the field of AI will become so advanced that there would be a wide spread call of cutting the research so as not to create robots, with superior intelligence and that can be hostile to human race.
Hostility has always been here. Why do we have to create ai/robots to continue it? We will never learn our mistakes, how long have we been here and not repeated them?

never going to happen...there is too much money to be made along the way. some checks and back up systems will have to be programmed into the robots. also i think that we humans will have the technical knowledge to destroy the robots since we did create them.
