there will be mind readers, that look like the hair dryers in a beauty palor, they will all be connected by a LAN or a phone line and someone can sit under it and say their name and password and recieve the information from someone who is sitting under or has already sat under the mind reader and that will take the place of the phone, computer, and any other type of communication device. The hair dryer dome it will read your mind and send your thoughts!
I can't remember the exact source [I think it was a news article] but after 9/11 it was suggested by NASA that such brain reading equipment could be used at airports along with the metal detectors.
However the main problem with such Mind Reading equipment is the problem of both falicious readings and of course the legal rights of privacy.
[For instance a guy thinking of a recent Hollywood movie, could be thinking of a film plot and in turn be arrested for the potential of doing the crime of planting a bomb just from remembering the film plot]
Mind Reading technology itself exists, in fact in the realm of cybernetics such equipment was being developed to allow severely disabled people to operate computer cursors without the use of their own limbs. [It's even suggested that the computerised systems can even work out speech synthesis for those that can not talk through just brain signal inputs.]
