By 2008 a lot of companies have understood that service is everything.
So, Walmart will be the first one to introduce the free refrigerator. And with a bonus nice TV screen included on the front door for you to watch the news while eating breakfast.
The trade off is that you have to sign with Walmart for a 3 year service. What does this service means? Well it means that all the good inside your refrigerator will come from Walmart.
In fact the refrigerator is connected (over the net) to the walmart network. Using sensors on every compartment inside the refrigerator walmart will monitor every product you eat, when you eat it and when it runs off. Products are delivered everyday.
For you it’s great, everyday they deliver what was missing even before you noticed it.
But there are other trade offs, every data collected from you is sold to marketing companies and the TV will display only ads from Walmart. But who cares?
