Really interesting readind, this article. Of course Iran hasn't any nuclear weapons whatsoever. If they had 1 milligram of nuclear material the israeli's would have already bombarded the facilities, has they did, many years ago, in Iraq - see the Osirak case:

http://www.washington-report.org/backissues/0695/9506081.htm

Anyway, Bush's administration plan is to gain control over important oil resources in the middle east, while at the same destroying some dictatorships and teochracies in the name of the so called freedom. And for this plan to come through, nothing better than having a boogy man. Iran serves just right.

Yes, I think Russia is aiding Iran in the construction of a nuclear powerplant. This makes sense, at least if seen through the scope of a cold war context.

Nowadays, Russia is trying to learn the capitalist way from a very russian perspective (Czars, communism, presidentialism... what's in common about all this?). From that standpoint it makes sense to me that Russia tries to stop the american geopolitical hegemony... and what's best than to aid a nation that hates america, and that america hates in return?

As Michael Savage calls the president of Iran: the Hitler our times.
