Our dear friend, brilliant professor, and dedicated ZapFuture's boards moderator, is not with us anymore.
All who knew him agree he was given a very big and generous heart, which was, at the same time, his weakness. His heart was just too fragile for our current troubled times , as it was his heart that failed him in the end, in a sudden stroke. Last month Hemetis passed away.
As a friend - and I am sure I write in the name of all ZapFuture members – I (we) deeply resent for my (our) loss. But our grieve goes deeper when we realize our loss is much more than just a number. Our loss is a loss for all the rest of us: he had a dream. In his dream, called 'The Project', all mankind would be one day free from poverty. He was writing a book about it. I just hope someone finish it someday.
I never knew him personally, never talked with him on the phone and don’t knew him since childhood. Our bonds grew with and from the fantastic ideas we exchanged online. I am sure many of you feel the same thing and the same mourn.

P.S: Hemetis didn't have a chance to say Good Bye. I was informed by his son. Any member who wishes to send his family a personal message, please drop me an email requesting the address.
