The speech Tony Blair and President Bush gave in response to the bombings in London proves that the powers that be are clueless as to what is going on. They think that the bombings are to scare the public of the super powers and therefore intimidate them towards their goals. The real goal however is far more effective. The strategy of Alqeada in bombing targets in Europe, the United States and occupied territories is to demonstrate the vulnerability of such governments. By demonstrating that Alqeada can strike and continue to exist despite that some of the Alqeada members get caught proves their viability to the Muslim world. When Tony Blair says: “We will not be intimidated by the terrorist.”, he is actually giving fuel to the Alqeada movement. Tony Blair is effectively setting himself up for a fall since he clearly declares war on Alqeada as has Bush but Alqeada is still strong, still planning, still a world renowned terrorist group that is a house hold word! Such fame motivates young Muslims all over the world to take on the cause of Jihad. But the recruitment is not just for young Muslims to join the fight but to encourage others to participate by funding the groups as well. The fame of Alqeada creates an image of success in the Muslim world and with such success comes endorsement.
A better response to the terror acts should be more in the line of stating the callousness and disregard to human life that the terrorist have. The terms “bring to justice” or “win over terror” should not be used. The game of Alqeada is more of a psychological campaign for recruitment by not engaging them in the media would be a step forward in the battle against Alqeada. By keeping the language of retaliation out gives the terror act less impact. This doesn’t mean that terrorist shouldn’t be dealt with harshly but that such endeavors should have a low profile. However such a practice would be difficult because of the political pressures from the public demanding answers from their government. |

Boloney Frank. We have to be even more bold with terrorists.
The only way the terrorist are winning in America is because
they know the have the liberal left on there side(freedom fighters)
Anyone who stands up for what is right becomes the
terrrorist to them. They have already been converted.
They are the friends of our enemy. |

Right...The liberal left? I believe it was the conservative right that lost Bin Laden. It was the conservative right that went to war against a country on false pretenses and has caused an upheaval of anti-Americanism in Muslim countries. Nick how much bolder could we be I mean we invaded Afghanistan and took down the Taliban. Do you think they get the message that we won't tolerate terrorism?
You don't get it Nick, you like Blair and Bush want to believe that the terrorism of Alqeada is just about a futile war against Israel, US and other European countries. You are mistaken; Alqeada is about fueling a holy war. It’s about motivating a fundamentalist ideology of Islam. Alqeada is about uniting Islamic countries through public support of its activities it’s not about scaring the US. |

The bolder we are the safer we will be.
Terrorize the terrorist.
"A nobel people can't be conquered."
The problem is the democratic party. It is no longer
the loyal opposition. It has has been hihacked by
left wing communists.
Boloney Frank the war in Iraq is totally justified.
May I point something out to you?
Stay out of politics. You are too intellectual.
You have lost your common sense.
War protestors only embolden the enemy.
So I blame you for strength of the insurgency.
Where do you think they're getting their confidence?
Just look at Jane Fonda. |

You didn't answer my question; How much bolder can we get?

Communists? Nobody believes in communism anymore the fall of the Soviet Union pretty much laid it to rest.

Nick hate to point this out but you are completely wrong. Not only do you not have common sense but you can't read either! I never said that terrorism should be dealt with lightly. Nick you have no clue as to why the terrorists are fighting you think they are trying to scare you. Without understanding the enemy you won't win at least not easily. If you were smarter you'd understand why Iraq was a mistake. You think fighting a war with a super Army, Navy and Air Force can win against a handful of men but you fail to see what their true objectives are, you fail to understand who the enemies friends are, you fail to see why Bin Laden is still alive and Alqeada is a house hold word.
I'll give you a second chance Nick tell me after what I just stated is the reason for a low profile war against terrorism? What would be a good supplement to thwart the public support of Alqeada in Islamic countries?
Answer those questions Nick correctly and you'll see how terrorism should be dealt with... |

Communists is right!!!
Terrorize the terrorist.
That is the way to deal with them frank.
With a president the likes of Reagan we won the cold
war without firing a shot.
What I mean by boldness is doing what is right even
if it aint popular. One nation under God; not Magog.
That is what it will take to return the extremes of the
left and right back to the center where we can stand
together as a nobel nation. Instead of the divided
nation we are now. |

Well we agree on something; a low profile war against terrorism is not popular... |

Your silly.
I think what you mean is to live unaffected by terrorism.
That way they have not won. |

Got that Frank!
Einstein had to say about genuine goodwill in
politics: that it has little effect.
The enemy wishes to convert us to their evil through
terror. It is our job to convert them to our good before
that ever happens.
I believe in terrorizing the terrorist if necessary.
If we're bold enough we won't have to.
They took out our twin towers. if they so much as
make a move we should take out their Mecca.
Its only a symbolic place anyway. No harm will be
done by taking it out; only the faith in their own
evil will fall. |
