The impact of the internet.

I am under the impression that globalisation is a process in which information exchange plays a major role.
Our societies are extremely diverse and so are our cultures, but for how long shall that be?
It is not farfetched to imagine that the impact of the internet along with modern transportation must yield an effect so far reaching that many people shall tend to unite rather than go to war.
I have witnessed what could be called "battles" on the news-groups where concepts collide and ideas contradict.
Although no immediate agreements are expected, one should at least expect a positive result due to exposing such conflicting ideas and cultures. I believe that ignorance would be much more dangerous than disagreement.
I see disagreement as a very positive step towards agreement and global integration of cultures.

This is what I have found in physics groups.
The agreements/disagreements are the source
of evolving reason for those who are willing.

It is interesting to see your mind change!

I may recall what Jack Sarfatti used to say:

"Only fools never change their minds" Very Happy
