Had it been just about making people go for your Coke rather than the other it would be acceptable, however, unfortunately media is also being used to spread hatred against other nations, communities and religions. Any views Question

Yeah that’s true. That allegation does hold true, but then again don’t we all have our different point of views? I think it is not the effort to spread hatred, its misunderstanding what the other nation/religion/culture is all about.

What media exactly is being referred to here?
If it is media in general, then i agree. Media is JUST ANOTHER MEANS
to spread misgivings and hatred.
But then again, the question itself is flawed.

I think the issus is the electronic media. From what i garther, most of the people in the US dont even know what their forces are doing in Iraq or Afghanistan for that matter. The PEOPLE are kept unaware of the killings and massacre their soldiers are responsible for. That is a chieved through careful editing of the clips shown in the News. Whereas, people in other countries are shown clips of the Iraqis being shot at and stuff that repel them against Americans. They naturally feel that the Americans are so cold at heart that they dont feel what is happening in those war torn countries. SO it is basically isolating America in the world community.

For the Muslim world, America is the symbol of Christianity and people are very much aware of the strong Jewish element in the American economy. So while the electronic media has made the world into a 'global village' their policies are fueling hatered amongst the people. Anyone with a working mind can fugure out what happens when people are pushed closer to eachother through tech-revolution and the hatered for eachother is fuelled through a monoppolized media...it spells disaster if you ask me.

I'd appreciate any comments...I hope you cna prove me wrong and easy my mind Confused
