When commenting on a Prediction there seems to be no forms of points generated, which in turn would suggest that perhaps the way the predictions are currently dealt with is wrong.
Perhaps predictions should be created like a Forum thread, therefore a "comment" is just an appended post. This allows the current point system within the forums to be used even when commenting (and perhaps giving a rating) on someones prediction.
Thanks styder. Suggestion accepted. We are working on it. We’ll start with 3 user points for commenting on a prediction.
For what we understood, you also suggested getting points for rating a prediction. This can’t be done. As a matter of fact, in this case it’s the opposite way: instead of giving, user points have to be spent, since it’s the only way you can have your own predictions rated. For a better explanation, read the FAQs and tell us what you think.
This is the way we design it from start and the most reasonable way we have found. If you have a better idea, please let us know. ZapFuture is build with its community in mind but we’re pretty sure that, in time, many changes still have to be made in order to reach a more powerful and fair system of promoting the more cooperative and bright minded users.
