Fuel needs to be continuously supplied externally to keep accelerating the ship. The energy of the fuel that causes the ship's acceleration becomes the kinetic energy and the gamma mass of the ship. The energy in the fuel that accelerates the ship stays in the mass of the ship through its motion. The mass of the ship goes up. When the ship reaches its destination it must use fuel to slow down. So it must turn around and fire its engines. The energy that decelerates the ship causes the ship's energy of motion to decrease. As motion decreases the mass of the ship or its Gamma mass decreases. The energy used to slow the ship down causes the ship to loose total mass. The energy used to slow disappears or is expended. Deceleration reduces the mass of the shiip. The accelerating energy is conserved in the ships energy of motion. Decelerating energy destroys the energy of motion of the ship.
Einstein thought that Gamma gave the universe a wealth of extra energy. But he was wrong.
Accelerating energy becomes conserved as kinetic energy. And there is more resistance to acceleration as kinetic energy is generated.
Decelerating energy once used disappears. There is less resistance to deceleration because the mass is slowing down.
Energy and mass of matter are its measure of resistance to change of motion. Acceleration creates new motion while deceleration decreases it of which both are dectable by the frame by its experiencing a weight push in the opposite direction.

Gamma math is operating in the universe in gravity and acceleration and end speed. Acceleration raises the ships mass by Gamma and decelerates the ships clock by Gamma. But to the person with the slow clock he cannot tell. Now in any rate of time appears the same. This is what science calls "proper time."
If you speed up your clock decelerates and time is going faster in the universe around you. So the appearence caused by speeding up is that everything speeds up around you by Gamma.
Mass is C squared infinitely concentrated energy of a point particle. Since mass is always in motion it has a concentrated energy level above C squared by the relativistic math factor of Gamma.
Matter in faster motion has a higher energy level described by the math of Gamma.
