I agree the whole switching in and out of the background might become annoying. Maybe the author is reading this right now and will take into consideration leaving the windows taskbar at bottom and selecting the window and having sphere auto rotate to the window.
I'm all for cool tricked out Windows stuff as long as it works and doesn't crash my games
