It’s a real pity that people have taken liberties with a religion like Islam, and gone on to link it with the wave of terrorism engulfing our world. To show the irony of it all, the word ‘Islam’ originates from ‘Salamtti’, meaning Peace.
It is a false conception that Islam preaches Terrorism, killing or oppression. In reality, the Holy Quran preaches categorically:
“There is no oppression in religion”
In addition, it is very clear from Islamic practice that suicide is forbidden the Religion. Islamic teachings condemn suicide and consider it a grave sin. Suicide bombings are a grave threat to innocent people but an overview of the oppression in Palestine and Kashmir, (Bosnia is not too far down the memory lane to forget either) makes the scenario crystal clear as to why people are so desperate as to give their lives and take lives.
