This book subtitled: Today's Trends, Tomorrow's World is the second book written by Art Bell a renowned talk radio show host and was published in 1997. Before reading this book I found it on Amazon in order to see its reviews. It is rejected by many intellectuals because, for the most part, it is about the negative side of our future. I believe though that knowing about the negative in some ways is better than profiting by the positive. What will advanced technology mean if there's nobody around to enjoy it?
It is about the Quickening of our world, the accelerating pace of changes in every aspect of our lives spreading throughout the entire globe. Art Bell believes that technology is the very core of the Quickening proccess. He also believes we are headed toward global government brought about by the globalization of commerce.
The rest though is about such things as the world's dwindeling fresh water and food supply, the pollution of our environment, the increase of natural disasters and the return of plagues.
It is an easy read. And I recommend this book to anyone willing to listen to the negative side of our future world.
Enjoy!
