I don't know if you know it, but the onion is there for entertainment value. For anyone who doesn't have a clue, the story above is completely fictional, and not a very good bit of fiction at that. I would think that by putting quotes around something the onion would be open to libel suits, apparently the president doesnt read it either (big surprise?).
